Mountain Man Karate and Kobudo LLC will be hosting an AKS fall seminar set for October 3, 2026. The venue will be Central Christian Church. Located at 1640 Big Tree drive Fairmont WV. There is plenty of parking and the seminar will be held in the gym of the venue.
I have already spoken to Brian Greynolds about teaching weapons.
I have two BJJ guys that will be doing self defense, gun and knife defense. BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a grappling-based martial art and combat sport. It focuses on ground fighting, leverage, and submission holds like joint locks and chokeholds. The main idea is that a smaller person can defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent using proper technique rather than brute force. Law enforcement based, both instructors are well versed in BJJ; both have boxed amature, and both have actually been in the cage MMA. Michael Stewart, and David Forsyth are both ranked Purple Belts in BJJ.
More information will follow.
